During a half term children are given the opportunities to explore the current value, its roots in gospel, how Jesus demonstrated this in his life and how it is relevant and has an impact on our lives today.

The school enjoys very close relations with St. Leonard’s Church. Daily collective worship is provided by the Headteacher, members of staff, our vicars, Reverend. Mark Jones and Reverend Mike Print, religious groups or indeed by the children themselves. The children attend services held in St. Leonard’s Church and Revd. Jones/Rev Mike lead acts of Collective Worship regularly here at school. Assemblies are held at the end of each week to celebrate and reward the achievements of the children. The school follows the Blackburn Diocesan Church Syllabus in its teaching of Religious Education. Under Section 25 of the 1944 Education Act parents have the right to request the withdrawal of their child from acts of Collective Worship and R.E. with the Headteacher.
